The Harley, so called because of it's geometric diamond pattern, all handpainted in a slightly metallic black gold acrylic paint. It has been applied as more of a wash so you can still see the natural grain of the wood ever so slightly underneath.
It has been meticulous work to get this classic design placed correctly across the front of this beautiful bureau so it looks perfectly balanced.
The desk itself has been hand stripped back to natural oak inside and out before adding the design and the whole thing sealed with 3 coats of a matt wax finish varnish, deliberately selected to avoid the natural wood turning more orange in tone. As a result the patina is a beautiful rustic natural oak with honey tones.
A sympathetic restoration combined with paint to create a classic look.
This piece really is a gorgeous example of handcrafted 1930s design made in great quality materials, I personally love the bun feet! The original hardware has been restored and I like how the harlequin pattern compliments the shape of them

We offer free delivery on small items, such as artwork. Smaller furniture items are shipped at a flat rate of £30 and all larger furniture items are shipped at a flat rate of £60 per item.
When an order has been placed, I will contact a courier company within 24 hours to book in a collection. At that point your details will be passed on so the delivery driver can make contact with you at a later date to arrange a suitable delivery date with you.
We advise a usual delivery time of between 1 and 2 weeks, however this can vary a little and can sometimes take longer depending on your location.

We offer the option to return your item for a full refund within14 days, however please note that any delivery costs incurred including return delivery will not be refunded, also consider the item will need to be sent back with the original courier in the original packaging and inspected for any damage before a refund can be issued.
