Parker Knoll Handpainted & Restored Floral Armchair
The ‘Rose’ makes a comfortable, bright and cosy place to sit and is made by quality British Maker Parker Knoll as marked on the frame.
I fell in love with the vintage fabric on this chair, (those florals are everything) and so decided to keep, but have modernised by colourising the old print. This is the process of dying the fabric with paint where I have chosen a colour palette of bright orange, rust and navy blue. I have also stripped the wooden frame to restore, refinishing with clear wood oil to add contrast and character to the vibrant florals.
This chair is so comfortable with a seperate cushion, but please note this is not a removable cover and the fabric cannot be removed from the frame unless reupholstering.
The overall design is contemporary looking using a bright pop of colour to compliment the retro shape of the chair, however the floral print is still reflective of the time when this chair was originally designed so it has a nice balance of old and new.
In great vintage condition and the chair stands solid.
Please see the pictures for details of condition, the only thing worth noting is that there are a couple of areas of damage to the cushion at the front as pictured where the fabric has worn through and been repaired. Since I didn't want to see this amazing vintage fabric go to waste, I managed to conceal but worth bearing in mind. It is not that noticeable unless you really are looking and you could always turn the cushion the other way if you wanted to and have the zip at the front. Hope this helps!
This is a handy piece to have around the house because with petite dimensions it can be moved from room to room if needed, I can imagine it looking stunning in the garden as a lounge seat on a nice day or occasionally as occasional seating in a bedroom or lounge. I am completely in love with it and it's one of a kind, would make a real statement in an interior design scheme for cosy cottage vibes with a twist!

We offer free delivery on small items, such as artwork. Smaller furniture items are shipped at a flat rate of £30 and all larger furniture items are shipped at a flat rate of £60 per item.
When an order has been placed, I will contact a courier company within 24 hours to book in a collection. At that point your details will be passed on so the delivery driver can make contact with you at a later date to arrange a suitable delivery date with you.
We advise a usual delivery time of between 1 and 2 weeks, however this can vary a little and can sometimes take longer depending on your location.

We offer the option to return your item for a full refund within14 days, however please note that any delivery costs incurred including return delivery will not be refunded, also consider the item will need to be sent back with the original courier in the original packaging and inspected for any damage before a refund can be issued.
